Fz 600 racers - I have a few questions

Postby Justind97 » Tue Dec 01, 2015 11:29 am

How long are your tires lasting? 1 endurance race? 2?

How much fuel on average do you consume per race?

How long roughly between pit stops?

Tires, depends on the track......but....at a track day you get 7 or 8, 20 minutes sessions or roughly 140 to 160 minutes. the races are 120 minutes. How many trackdays do you get from a set of tires.......how fast do you want to be.

Fuel is a variable as well as the fast rider on the bike will use more than the slower rider. All I know for sure is Calabogie and CTMP use LOTS of fuel. In early season testing (the freebie at Shannoville) you could check fuel mileage.

Pit stops, depend on race stategy. Each iron butt rides an hr (if the bike can do it on fuel), just one stop. Or 3 riders and stop every 20 minutes......

I will say this, after observing from the pits this past season. Work on pitstops, some teams were stopped for DAYS. lol
