QCGP important stuff

Postby Ashton Bond » Tue Sep 01, 2015 8:47 am

I'm waiting for a confirmed event schedule from the track on the NASCAR and drag racing activities to write the actual rider info sheets, but there's a couple items you all need to be aware of as early as possible.

- If you arrive early on Thursday, please reserve the parking area immediately adjacent to the paddock garage. We will be using my and the Waller's trailers to operate registration. We will need to pull power from that building to accomplish that. So we need enough room to pull both rigs straight in, trailers facing the paddock.

- Registration will NOT be open Thursday night as we both won't be arriving until late Thursday night. Friday morning will be your first opportunity to register.

- Friday morning registration will ONLY be for Friday practice and Endurance race participants.

- Registration will be open 7:00am-8:00am re-opening at 8:30am after the riders meeting, closing for the day at 9:30am.

The issue is that 1/2 of us can't get to the track before 9:00pm Thursday. (we have jobs too..) So registration and Tech will be solely focused on the Friday participants Friday morning. The reg/tech will re-open at 5:30 as per our normal routine Friday night. I have a little feeling that this might actually be a more efficient reg/tech process, so be warned, this might be the new "normal"... LOL

If your concerned about getting yourself and your bike processed in time for the 10:00am start time, make sure you show up prepared. Have your release form signed and in your hand. Have your applicable tech form filled out and signed and in your hand. We processed the first nearly 100 entrants at Mosport in under one hour! The next 100, well, they had needs... Strive to be part of the first 100! It's completely possible for you to spend less than 3 minutes at registration, it just takes you being prepared.
