Hi Ashton…

I had a look at the schedule and I know it must be extremely difficult to accommodate all riders...nonetheless I have questions…

On Saturday, of the first five races I’m in four of them (yes, one is after the 1 hour lunch)

So my questions are..

1) Having P3 Middle after the Middleweight Production/P2 Heavy …being the bump up class for P2 Heavy isn’t that going to cause a lot of back-to-backs for a number of riders? I know of at least 3 or 4 four. I also bump into this from Middleweight Production so I’m not sure if there is others doing the same?

2) I could be totally wrong but did the Masters (Lightweight and Heavyweight) not used to be run as one race in past years? I seem to remember being out there with the heavy bikes of Peter Hurst etc.

3) Is it totally necessary to run the exact same order of races for each day? Back-to-back on one day is still better that back-to-back for both Sat and Sun as it stands now.

Thanks in advance and I do appreciate all your efforts,

Scott

1) The ONLY version of this story where your needs are met, or at least helped a little is by swapping P4F2 with P3M. EVERY OTHER COMBINATION creates a stoppage where an actual registrant (not theoretical ones) would have two races at the same time. This swap actually alleviates one of your B2B's, and one other, while creating one more. There were actually only 2 of you who were in your described predicament. But, make sure you shake hands with all 28 entrants of P4F3 and the 32 entered in P4F2, because that puts them both before lunch, and only 30 minutes apart, They are the two largest bump classes in the organization, accounting for 28% of the total entries for the Festival thus far.

2) Your not wrong, you just missed the 5 page discussion from this winter where I asserted that ALL members 50+ have equal rights, and therefore deserve a chance to participate in the Masters race. The concern was that the MGP folks' closing speeds would far outpace the P1 folks, (oddly not a concern in the Endurance Series..) and so the race was split into light and heavy to afford all members the same privileges while eliminating the closing speed issue.

3) Yes.
