1982 Kawasaki GPZ 550 for P3 Light

Postby Ian » Sun May 12, 2013 4:33 pm

"Reluctantly offered for sale": I won't be racing it this year and need to make room for a new project. This bike has often placed in the top 5 in P3 Light sprint races and won the class in a number of endurance races.
-1985 specification engine, mildly ported, compression raised
-29mm CR carbs
-Moriwaki exhaust
-EBC clutch
-Brembo brakes
-18 inch wheels, one race on Avon tires
-braced forks with Gold Valves
-braced frame
-Works remote-reservoir shock
-starter and alternator electrics
-many spares including complete bike

Priced below the cost to build at $3500. Please PM me or e-mail mcq at uniserve dot com

My ad vanished - I'm hoping this "bump" will make it come back!

This is a very competitive bike! I chased it many times . This is a very fair price. Steve Darlington
I specialize in Kawasaki air cooled 4 strokes from the seventies and early eighties 550-1100 .I also network with others and can search for parts on your behalf .

Thanks, Steve! We have had our battles, for sure. And, yes, the bike is still available.

That's fantastic Brian!

...perhaps it should be mentioned that I have previous GPz550 endurance race experience, you know if the contract negotiations don't work out with the other 2...can't beat that name though!

Hey Motorshire 747, now that you think that there may be another GPZ team out there that may take the GPZ cup away from us, you are jumping ship 8) And here I thought we were teaching buddies and friends
