Thanks for the offer FD, but I got it down pretty good after that shot, and its surprisingly smooth and clean metal. I'm painting it this weekend.

Hey Tim isn't it amazing what a Jobmate will do for you.still cheaper than a bike lift,just more work involved..when are you going to post more pic's Tim.

Mr. M - good morning
More pics when I actually accomplish something. Each piece is being worked on and I hope to have a standing bike next week.
Al Lyllof has the motor, pistons and ignition, finished this week, new clutch plates and springs when I get it back - I've made new rear sets, am painting the tank/tail this week, new tires on buffed rims (shiny, not perfect), new brake pads, new tach, exhaust powder coated. Am preparing for wiring the whole thing. I've discovered buffing wheels, makes things shiny.
And that stand - endless possibilities - I made a wheel holder out of two pieces of wood to rotate a tire for balancing/trueing. It has done a ton of stuff.
