The first chair is pretty but is not a family chair; This is a family chair 2 adults and a boot, home built in the fifties. The street is in Handsworth Brum. Paul.

Paul i notice it even has a tell the kids to SIT DOWN and behave yourself window.nice job though for home built.did you have a hand in it's building.

Hi Paul, yes I built it; 1" ash frame covered with 1/4 ply and then a skin of aluminiumI was about 17 then, the the year before I started racing a Tribsa. The window is intended to allow for instructions to be passed out. The triumph went to my older brother who put a regular single seat chair on it and later when I went to run the TT in 64, we both used it as transport and to carry spares over. The rear wheel bearings went out in Manchester , luckily I found a deal;er with stock in town, and changed the bearing on the side of the main street. Parking lots did not exist in those days. Paul.
