Penalties

Should penalties be in miles rather than laps? A 3 lap penalty at CTMP is different than a three lap penalty at Shannonville. Mileage deducted would even out the penalties between venues.

That's a good point.

The rule book, as currently written, specifies that penalties are in "laps". That might need to be reviewed.

I would think that if an infraction is incurred at for example CTMP, then the penalty would be based on the lap (or mileage) of CTMP. The same would apply to each track we attend. How would using mileage even out the penalties between venues? What am I missing?
