Fork Tube Chroming

Postby moriarty » Thu Jun 26, 2008 1:21 pm

I just had these 1970 Suzuki T250 fork tubes re-chromed.

They were terribly pitted and had lots of surface rust on them. Noe they look perfect.

Brought them to Midland Plating - 416-298-8477 - They are in the Scarbourough area of Toronto.

They precision ground the tubes to remove 13 thousands on an inch - replated them with "Hard Chrome". Then they ground and buffed the legs back to original diameter.

They had them done in 3 days. Cost $200. May be a little pricey, but what are the other options?

http://www.walridge.com/contact/view/index.php?

I think he prefers email to phone calls.

I think he deals with Forks by Frank.
I don't know if Forking Around is still an going concern.
