1989 GSXR750

Postby jim kots » Sat Sep 27, 2014 11:11 am

Time to move this on, I just confirmed next seasons work back in TO, Tuesday to Friday. Looks like I won't be endurance racing.

-carbs have been stripped, ultra sonic cleaned, rebuilt, emulsion tubes were in very good condition, everything else replaced
-2006 CBR rear shock,
-new front brake pads
-Looks like the head has been ported, compression is 155 across all four cyl
-Hindle full exhaust, 4-2-1
-Dunlop SportMax D211-GPA 120/160 rear, maybe 10 laps at TMP, carbs leaked so I switched bikes. Good for trackdays.
-Fairing/seat/tank are in decent shape, no rust in tank
-battery is new and has been on tender
-spare frame with ownership.

Pics to follow, $1500 firm,

Cheers Jim

Don't have a lot of support parts for this Gixxer,if I had raced it there would be a lot of wrecked parts to through in. Do have clip ons, front calipers, incomplete forks, tubes are straight and a damper. Needs some fab work to attach to top triple clamp.

Before the carb work it pulled really well in the top end, the carb clean and re build should have fixed the mid range.

Should make a decent endurance bike.

Still available, Dean and Todd took a bunch of Honda parts, Pierre bought an 88 GSXR, and Steve is waiting to complete a house move.

Jim,

Would you sell the spare calipers (if they seem OK) and spare
clipons?

BTW, what does a Gixxer like yours weigh – ballpark?
