Calabogie pit etiquette

Postby Ashton Bond » Wed Aug 31, 2016 9:34 pm

There is one thing...

In the spirit of you never get a second chance to make a first impression...

Calabogie is very proud of the level of quality of not only their racing surface, but the pits as well. When you get there, you'll see why.... It's absolutely pristine.

And we are going to keep it that way!

When you're setting up your pits, please be mindful of jacks for your trailers and RV's. Slide a 5/8" piece of plywood down first, and bring catch basins in case you need to wash out a carb or change oil or anything that might leave a stain. And no, and I mean NO holes in the tarmac. Bring suitable weights for your canopies.

I know this seems like common sense, and maybe a little over protective, but when you get there you'll agree. The track has made a major investment to make your racing experience literally world class. It's worth the tiny extra effort it takes on our part as a club to leave a lasting good impression.

Thanks all!

Is the pit area all asphalt, or is there grass for those who want to stake in? Never been myself, but I remember 'camping' in what felt like a huge parking lot at Mt Tremblant.

There's a small triangle of grass big enough for about two tents...
