Human nature being what it is I guess we really voted to increase membership fees for the 2012 season as no doubt others are taking advantage of the saving. Email me your forms Paul and I'll drop them off at Bonnie's with a cheque and we can settle up later in the year.
Reminds me of our local Cemetery when we decided to raise the price of plots, all of a sudden the board members wanted theirs bought and paid for before the price increase.(Yes, I actually do community volunteer work for those that think I'm only all talk, even Board Chairman in cases, the only problem is I'm accustomed to making things happen.. but I digress.)
WARNING the next bit may hurt feelings, do not read unless you have an open mind and a brain that understands logic.
The good thing with the lower price still in effect is that the 100 new like minded voting members I'm signing up, at a one time investment of $6000 (thanks to the others that provided some support) it will now allow us to vote in a block and make progress in next years decision making activities. If this sounds scary to you, do you know who is voting today on the decisions made? How many voting members are there that we never see at an event or meetings but influence decisions?
