Would like to take part in the PI race at Mosport but am having problems getting a bike put together.
The PI rules state the following...
Period:
The period of machinery eligible includes all motorcycles up to and including the year 1984
Engine Capacity
The following capacities are approved:
i. 2 Valve engines: 350cc to 1300cc
ii. 4 valve engines: 350cc to 1300cc
iii. Two cylinder engines: 350cc to 1400cc
My RZ350 is 1984 and is 350cc (obviously), therefore its eligible, yes?
Note, it says Two Cylinder Engines, there is no distinction if its a 2 stroke, 4 stroke or even a rotary. I have photos, video and race results showing the the RZ did historically compete in this class.
Also, in the original Formula TT classes that the PI rules were based on, the RZ350 (RD350 in Europe) and the original RD350LC were also eligible for F1 if the engine capacity was 351cc or greater. Less that 351 it was a F2 bike
