WOW Yamaha 350 reverse cylinder.

Postby madcrashbill » Sat Apr 20, 2013 5:16 pm

Many of the members have produced awesome rides for this year. I think that's devotion to the club, well done to you all.
Now its my turn. Producing this bike has had its moments. There should be more time spent on this but alas I only get home a few days a month. Considering that its looking well. Six weeks to go and I still need stingers and a seat and a Rad and new foam filters and 18 inch slicks too. Its the fun I have had doing this that I enjoy most. Ask me why I did it and you will get an answer at the end of the season.

Sorry folks, where I my manners. I owe thanks to Richard Biggs for precision fabrication, thanks to Gord (Lord) Barr who has offered much technical input, painting and lots of barley sodas. There is a big thanks to go to Ewan Brown who unknowingly, mistakenly, supplied and was robbed of the pipes that now adorn this bike. Everyone has now got over this ridiculously incredible mistake that I made. So moving swiftly on ...... se y'all at Shannonville ........

Hey Bill,
Like the ride, ponder the pipes.
By the time you have the stingers on plus the cans, pretty far past the end of the bike. I've been up since before 5:00 am today and am way too tired to dig through the rule book but suggest that perhaps you should and see if there is a max length beyond the bike for pipes.
A lot of the scooter and go cart tuners cap the end of the chamber and bleed off the fat section of the pipe.
You could probably do this too. One of my dirt trackers that I rode around 30 years ago had a similar configuration, for what reason (we had lots of room for the stinger), I cannot imagine.
I've been watching your build and pose the question, "What has the Tech Committee said..."
As far as a seat, email me sometime; I'm sure I have something that will work.

That's totally bad-ass Bill. I can definitely picture 2 silencers stacked straight over the existing stingers, bled from the back side of the belly section. Should fit perfect under a TZ250 tail... I've always considered "because I can" justification enough for most of my projects... :)

So with the "slicks" comment, I assume you're making this a P4 bike?

Cool project anyhow! 8)
