well since I don't think I can get my P1-500 championship winning bike back from Jody
I have to build another. I've never built a 350, and being a P2-light I can go a little crazy
frame started as a cb 360 and after lots of cutting, grinding and welding
cb350-1x.jpg
tank and seat fitted
cb350-3x.jpg
engine mounts and extra frame mods
cb350-4x.jpg
frame is almost complete

Ok. So I finally get up to decent speed (without crashing!) in p4 and sure enjoy Jody wants to play in F3. So I start dusting off old 350 stuff, and now all these go fast bikes and guys jumping into p1 p2 350's .... I guess my podium day's are over..... NOT... look out you young whipper snappers, Grampa's back!
With that said...what are the chances that p2 needs a rider for Barber next Fall ??

Nice work on the build! I'm building a bike right now and would like to consider racing it along side you. Mine's a CB 350 as well. 1970.
I looked at the rules but they seem a little obscure. What's the rule with disc brakes if they didn't come stock but from same period? I'd like to use the front fork from a cb750 (35mm) with front disc.
Also I got my frame welded yesterday but read that you can't use additional frame support in VRAA. Yours looks like you chopped the hollow center support and replaced it with 2 side frame supports. Maybe I should do that instead?
So far I'm looking at
Bore tech 67.5mm pistons
X5 megacycle camshaft
32 mm mukuni's
lightened/balanced crankshaft
cb750 forks
lightened 5.5mm valves with RD springs, titanium retainers and bronze guides
Head port/polish
As far as you know is there anything there that is non conforming?
I still need: connecting rods (no idea who is good)
Seat/tank
tires (not sure of allowable width. I think the cb350 actually came stock with wider tires than
VRRA supposedly allows too)
Any advice you can provide would be awesome. I'd really appreciate it.

yes, I'm going to race this 350. Jody has first crack defending his P-1 500 title on my 500. I hope he says yes, it'll probably be the only time I see a #1 plate on one of my bikes
If he has other plans, the 500 could be lent out again
or sold

Hi Allan
Maybe with a friendly push he will defend the tittle. It would be nice to see the North Bay crew having the number #1 Plate up there again.Look forward to seeing the 350 at the Shanny.talk to you soon Allan.
