Paul Boyer owned and raced it in 1973, that's all we know so far.
Does anybody know Peter Duckworth Pilkington?

Ray, Peter was a VRRA member in 1983/4 and still appears to live at the same address in TO. I will send you an email with details.

I found it exciting that the Aermacchi turned up after forty years and not more that 30k from my house! I always wondered where it went after we parted company. That thing almost got me in trouble with the cops and did with my employer for "testing" it in a local industrial area and at my place of work downtown Cobourg. The short megaphone and cammy engine made one marvelous racket. It was a very nimble handling bike. I really look forward to seeing in on the track again Ray.
Cheers Paul

Hi paul, the motor is back together and in great shape, just got to get the valve shim pre-load sorted.
Managed to talk to peters Wife or Daugter and she asked him where he bought the bike, he wasn't sure but thinks it was from Roger Cracknell a Montesa dealer in London, can't get hold of him yet he's in the states for the winter. you are right about the head injury, he couldn't come to the phone so she asked him some questions about the bike and he tried to answer them the best he could, what happened?
BTW I got a gallon of Castrol Competition oil, don't think it's caster based, do you know what it is.

Hi Ray, I do not know what oil that is in the image but the CRTT was run on Castrol R40 when I owned it. If you cleaned out the engine when you had it apart it would be a good time to go to a modern oil. Mineral and Caster based are not compatable and the castor will form little beads of rubber like gomp if you mix the two. Will pm you for the other info.

This Castrol oil is not Caster based if you read the side it says jet engines and racing.. and if you want to use on the road you can drain and use GTX. I am going to use amsoil sinthentic.
