I was building this for P3 but have lost interest.
Frame:
- Tie bar frame with ownership that was braced by Denis and Byron. Swingarm mounts boxed in. Swingarm, was also braced.
- TZR 2MA Front End (Non cartridge 39mm so P3 legal)
- TZR 4DL Front wheel with 2 piston Brembo caliper, 17x3"
- TZR Belgarda rear wheel 17x3.5". This is a direct bolt in to the RD swingarm without messing around with spacers and chain alignment is spot on.
Engine:
- Standard 350 cases port matched to the cylinders
- Farhon cylinders with transfers opened up, triple exhaust ports, Boysen ported intake - This set up is raced by a few people in the Yamaha Past Masters series in the UK and consistently makes ~75hp with the right pipes
- Wiseco Pistons on first over
- Custom Crank from Roger at Wicked modified to fit the RD cases. TZ350 big ends and primary bearing
- RZ350/Banshee transmission conversion so it has the stronger 6th gear (which always fails on the RD) and close ratio 1st to 2nd.
- Hinson Billet clutch basket
- Shift detent mod and detent arm roller bearing conversion. Shifts like butter
- High flow pump impeller
- O-ringed head with squish redone
- 40mm Radiator from Martin at Mad Biker - made in the UK and not Chinese fleaBay junk
- 34mm Mikuni TM's which are basically junk but the best carbs allowed under P3 rules. It would run much better with a set of Keihin PWK35 but they didn't make those until the mid 80's
Pipes
- Brian Turfrey (if you don't know, he built the pipes for all the works Yamaha and Team KR GP bikes and he is booked a year in advance)
Bodywork
- Brand new in the box tank still in primer.
- Assorted panels and tail, probably enough to make 3 complete sets
- Seat with the tab upgrade already done
- Pro-am fairing
- Pro-am Belly pan
Ignition
- Standard Stator with Zeeltronic CDI - can be run batteryless.
Basically just needs paint and/or powder coating and assembly.
Not interested in selling off bits and pieces
Always intended to make a Yamaha Pro-am copy to look something like this when its done. Or you could go see Byron at Cox Customs and have him make a TZ tank and seat and run it with a faring.
