1978 Honda CB550K - Race engine below.

Stock Motor

Akront Front aluminum rim
Single disc setup with Brembo F08 caliper (Freshly rebuilt – seals)
New Ferodo brake pads.
Matching left side Brembo F08 caliper to go with it. New set of Ferodo brake pads for it.
New Brembo Master cylinder
New stainless steel brake lines
Stock springs.
Racetech gold valve emulators
Fresh rebuild on forks
Tarozzi Fork brace
New All balls steering head bearings
Yoshimura triple nut (aluminum, race drilled)

The bad:
Welds on the frame gussets look ugly (however structurally fine and functional)
Front caliper bracket while functional and strong enough could be changed for a custom aluminum one
Carbs need cleaning. One float is sticking, or change them out for a set of Keihin CR29s

The bikes has turned 6 laps on the long track at Shannonville and handled beautifully. Motor was healthy and sounded great.

Stock crank – oil galleys have been opened and cleaned.
Head has stage 3 porting by Mike Rieck.
New Kibblewhite valves, Exhaust +1mm

New valve guides (back cut to increase flow)

New WebCam 358a cams
New adjustable cam sprockets

All new OEM bottom end roller bearings. (Every bearing in the engine has been replaced with OEM parts)

Direct head oil feed mod (Eliminates leaking oil galleys that go through the cylinder)

Intake spigots have been ported for the head

I have far north of $6000 into the engine alone. I’d prefer to sell both as a package and get rid of everything that I have for the CB550s all at once.
