Incoming bike. Looking to gauge interest and see if anyone from the club wants this bike.
Landed to your door in Toronto would be $11K Canadian. Bike is from Seattle.
Spares are available. cylinders, heads, other misc parts (over and above)
This bike was a project re-building a single bike from two TZs. Restored to an A-level machine (used all the best parts everywhere). **Every single part was disassembled, inspected, and cleaned.**
Since the rebuild, this bike has been ridden at The Ridge [WA] (6/17), Road America [WI] (7/17), The Ridge [WA] (7/17), and ORP [OR] [8/17]. It has been very reliable as we jetted it rich. It has 99 miles on the top end, and 658 miles on the crank. The crank was brand new (!) out of the box at installation.
** Notes **
**[Ignition] is currently a 94 black box as the 96 black box was cutting out, and in the interest of making the bike run, I put the 94 ignition on and it worked…
**[Radiator] was brand new (!) out of the box, but is a 94/straight radiator and not curved like the 96 should have. It has a small cosmetic dent from the front wheel before I relocated it back to not hit under hard braking.
**[Throttle cables] brand new Yamaha OEM ’96 lengths.
**[Gearing] 1E/2C/3C/4C/5C/6C.
**[Temp gauge] new digital unit: Koso BA003035 Mini LCD Thermometer.
**[Tires] Bridgestone YCY/Med/Rear, YCX/Soft/Front (good for another 1-2 weekends, YMMV).
**[Controls] all in good condition.
**[Fuel enrichment thumb lever] installed and functional.
**[Bodywork] front fender and tail section were new 6/17, tail has minor damage from an on-track bolt shooting thru it while riding. The bodywork is 96 I think, but bike does not have any sealed airbox, or matching ram air type enclosures which I believe are spec for the 96. The bodywork on bike now is functional, could use some TLC. Bike will need a paint job to be pristine looking.
**[Top End] Crank @ 658 miles, Top End @ 99 miles.
**[Documents] 96 parts manual, and a 94 owner’s service manual.
**[Rear stand] Yamaha original, Included.
