Yes, very cool bike but I feel I need to retaliate. I'd much prefer a 1950's tractor technology v-twin air cooled finger shredder  , and by the way, how is the finger? still have them all? You know I'm just kidding, that XR is pretty cool.

Ha! Yes the finger is filling in nicely, doesn't work very well but the divot has filled in! I'll post up a couple pics since you asked... :D

Just for those harsh words I sent the RR link over Uwe (Mojo) your first dibs are up!

BTW-That's one wicked Harley, 520 pounds, 88hps, questionable race frame(great road bike) and no slippery bodywork = 1.31s at Mosport for those guys at the front, explain that to me! :?

Was the reason you did not let go of the handle bar is that you thought you could still save the Harley while sliding through Moss's corner? We all know your good, but not sure if your that good :) Heal quickly and maybe I will see you at the College one of these weekends.

Back on subject here, why would anyone pay $15,000 for a gixxer?
I could understand if it was a ZX7R!

The only way kawa zx7r would be worth more is if they were sold by weight

Crevier has won his share of cups, did they actually run those bikes over a scale and dyno after the race?

Looks like the suspension counts, and trying to lighten something spinny in the engine by 8 lbs, it will spin up quicker but shouldn't affect HP.

From CSBK site:

HORSEPOWER LIMITS
For the XR1200 class, each machine may develop no more than 92 hp at the conclusion of the event.

WEIGHT LIMITS
XR1200 machines must weigh no less than 512 pounds in the same condition in which they finish the race, including all fluids such as oil, water and fuel. Weights will be checked immediately following races, and no fluid may be added prior to the determination of weight or horsepower check on the Dyno.

I was speaking in generalities Jim, as in the bikes are not race bikes and the numbers don't translate but wow 1.31s...humbling.

@Frenchie -don't be jeolous of our girth... :D
@Duncan -good question! no accounting for some tastes, probably the same people that are into Justin Bieber, you're singing the beep songs right now arn't you Frenchie :D
