Well, as much as I wanted to, I have determined that I can't race due to the injuries I sustained to my knee in 2011. So, I am putting my P3 Mid class racing KZ up for sale. Some, if not most, of you will recognize this bike as it was previously raced by Steve Darlington.
Its a 1978 KZ650 with a 1982 KZ750 engine in it. The bike pulls strong, has new oil and filter, brand new Avon RoadRiders, brand new battery, 4 into1 header, and, is fully safety wired. The head is ported, shaved .010" and has HD valve springs with shim over buckets for ease of adjustment. The cams are 83-85 GPZ 750. Approx. $700 invested in head work alone. I also have the fibreglass belly pan that is required for racing in the VRRA (just not installed or painted yet).
I have only been out on the track at Cayuga twice last year to assess my capabilities. One of those days it was raining and I did have a VERY SLOW low side that resulted in breaking the clutch lever off and bending the shift lever. These will both have to be replaced.
I'm open to REASONABLE offers or possible trade for street bike (RD350LC) or Kawasaki up to 600cc, dirtbike, or, possibly supermoto.
