The PHP software used by the Forum and the actual forum software its self both need to be updated as they will become end of life shortly and will no longer be supported.

The update has been scheduled for January 26th, 2023, at 9:00am. The board will not be available during the time it takes for the update.

I will make sure that the all the data and the current schema are backed up just in case something goes wrong and we need to roll back the installation.

Well. as you may have noticed the board is exactly the same.

I was not able to do the upgrade as the cloud hosting environment is shared between a number of customers and they couldn't grant me access to login and change configuration files. That's understandable

I will set up a server and make all the changes off line, then simply copy the new environment over in its entirety as I have the rights to do this. It will probably be next week some time.
