Good to hear some positive news, thanks for listening to the members and going for the long track, no overbooked classes to deal with on the long track ...

Great news about using the Long Track at Quinte TT. I think this will help to spread out a very big class of Period 4 F3 racers. Thanks for listening to our suggestion at the AGM. It is hard to make motorcycle racing safe, but we can always try!

Is the endurance race round 1 held on the Nelson circuit as a cost-saving measure relating to somewhat low entry levels?
Would the morning scheduled track school also on the Nelson circuit cause any issues for those newcomers then electing to race the Long track on the following two days?
With thanks,
Fran

Fran, We have retained the Nelson for Friday partly because of the finances but mostly because of the problem of getting sufficient CRCA corner workers to man the long track on a workday.
As for the track school, there will be extra track time on Friday evening for the participants and the usual 2 practice sessions on the long track on Saturday morning. Hopefully we will have some sort of mentoring programme in place to help any new racers who want to race on Saturday and Sunday, by having riders lead them round in practice to help learn the lines, etc.

Thanks for this,
A simple explanation and my thinking is that newcomers will be fine with that since the priority is getting used to the close quarters safe passing skill set and really, less about the best lines.
All the best,
Fran

OK Fran was that to teach me how long a sentence can be without an apostrophe? I had to stop for a breathe then start over from the beginning...more than once! ..phew

Mike,
You got it, all of us old fellers can use a reminder to stop and take a deep breath now and again. You're bang on pointing out that no commas are needed when using articles as clause separators. I work in the bush (forestry in Algonquin Park) so you have to understand that such minutiae derives from long hours tramping the woods and talking to squirrels, etc. This prolly explains a lot.
Happy trails,
Fran

Well damn, guess I have to put my money where my mouth is. I've always said I would join full up if another big track was added rather than paying/racing mosport only. Treasurer; please expect my 60 clams before end of year. I'm also bringing a couple of other new members with me, for same reason. Truth be known I was kind of hoping for "pro" as it has the size for the later/bigger bikes without the "too big" factor for others. I'm not complaining, I'M IN (and applauding the decision).

Hey, my RS gets around the long track at a fair clip, it is not "too big"
ask "The Little Guy" about our epic battle on the long track.
I am stoked to be back on the long track on my little bike.
