2010 AGM and Awards Banquet

Jan and I are pleased to announce the 2010 AGM and Awards Banquet will be Saturday November 13, 2010. It will be held at Holiday Inn Burlington Hotel & Conference Centre 3063 SOUTH SERVICE ROAD Burlington, Ontario L7N 3E9. Reservations: 1-888-987-4888 The hotel has put a block of rooms aside for us at $119.00 per night. There are hotels with lower rates nearby, but they don't have banquet facilities. There will be a Hospitality Suite, Friday 12th with refreshments provided by the irrepressible North Bay Gang and the room provided by Lockwood Chrysler. We're looking at a special event for the spouses while the AGM is on as well as other fun stuff for the Banquet. Thank you to those that have offered to help, we'll be in contact soon. We will be having a night, probably around the last week in August, to get together and brainstorm as well as dividing up the load so no one person is overwhelmed. If you are interested in helping, let us know or simply drop by the trailer at Mosport. If you don't like the location, we're sorry but we were the only ones to step forward.

I'm told the women's program will have a new focus this year, trying to steer away from the rampant commercialism of shopping centres etc., we hope to run some workshops, topics like 'How to Gift Wrap a set of Tires' - 'How to increase the race budget while still eating normal food' - you know - helpful stuff.

More important I think is to have Mr Darlington and wife teach them various massage techniques. You know, so when you get home back from the track after being away for a few days she can try new ideas, you do get welcome home treatment don't you ?

Gee... and to think I wanted to grow up to be just like you when I get old...
