Sidecar trial rides

Postby Michael Vinten » Wed Aug 03, 2016 12:27 pm

Anyone registered for Friday practice who would like to take out a new passenger can do so during Friday sidecar practice sessions. The rider must be registered for Friday practice or the endurance race. Please have them wear a vest to indicate to other teams that they are new. This is great chance to introduce fellow riders to the fun of sidecars.

Post this in the general discussion as I am sure most do not visit the sidecar section

I've done 6 laps in a left hand chair at Mosport, I would love a few more if there is a spot! Right side chair will do just fine too!

When in doubt, give it gas. It may not help the situation, but it will end the suspense!

When you say new Passenger do you mean one that has done the school? Mosport is not the track to just jump on a sidecar and have fun.

My endurance team mate was asking about this. So I've got at least one lined up... How long are the practice sessions?

Thanks Ashton. Not enough time to come in and switch to a second passenger.

Is it possible for the new passenger to be the one who is registered for Fri. practice and the driver the one who is registered for the endurance race?

Gary, no problem so long as the passenger on the rig has paid for Friday practice. Rig will need to be teched and will need a Friday practice sticker.

Ray, passengers all have track experience on 2 wheels and drivers will keep the speeds appropriate as done for non-racers when we had track rides at lunch. At suitable speeds for new passengers there is more time for transitions at Mosport than at other tracks we race on.
