Hey all you P2 guys with the 16's.
It seems that these tires are getting increasingly harder to get our hands on. The word from back home is that Dunlop are not making them any more, but Avon will pick it up. Same specs as the Dunny's.
So here's the question......
If I can get an order/deal together for these tires , how many people would be interested and in what quantities?
Once I have numbers I can talk with the manufacturer about price/shipping duty etc. But the word is that they would be similarly priced as the Dunlops were.

Total lack of PR and consideration for all the captive users of 16 inch tires on the part of Dunlop. This news is the first saying that Dunlop has stopped making these tires. Up to now it has been conjecture. I have tires for this season but will need a pair for 2017. Suggest we discuss this with all the teams at the TT as many members do not read the forum very often.

Any word if avon is gonna pull through. I am in desperate need for some tires for the 2017 season.

We are still waiting on Avon to start making them again. They have the moulds and tooling. So as soon as they start we will get some ove here for sure.

Interested but would have to try Avons product before committing to a large orders . If they miss the compound we are stuck with tires that cost over 200 bucks and burn up in a race . We have to start someplace so I'm in . I have enough Dunlop's for next season but we are in a hurt for a good tire.

Any news on tires we are getting close . Really don't want to run alternative tires.

Avon are testing the new ones.
Hope to have them ASAP.
If you are getting 'antsy' about getting them, ask around. But you wont find anything new. Someone may have some 'old stock' Dunlops hidden somewhere.
The new ones are close.
