P1 Sidecar . Brake question.

Postby Percy W » Sat Nov 23, 2013 11:25 pm

Is a front disc brake allowed on a P1 sidecar.
I have found some pre 1968 bikes with discs. As 1968 is the last year for P1 sidecar I'm thinking 'yes'.
The sidecar rule states disc or drum , but the P1 and P2 sidecar rules are lumped together and doesn't differentiate between the two.
So what type of disc would that be?
Just trying to make sure before I go and put something together.
Thanks.

Miles.

The way I read the rules a front disk is certainly allowed on a P1 sidecar. Would have to be a solid disk (no semi or full floating), and max 2 piston caliper.
