Sidecar course?

Postby Colin Duncan » Mon Nov 28, 2011 10:40 am

I have been offered the chance to ride “Monkey” on potentially a vintage rig and also a modern rig.

So, what do I need and where do I get it? Would it be good for RACE rounds and VRRA etc?

Cheers,
Colin

Hi Colin, the VRRA runs a course at the first race weekend and the SRA runs on start of the year also, I do not know if RACE draws a distinction between vintage and modern, there should not be a difference. Just remember track goes right move to the right. track goes left move to the left. You would be amazed how often I have to grab some one by the collar on parade laps and jerk them to the other side. Like Paul says,
Go left to go left and go right to go right.
Between you, me & the fence post....
If you already race all you really need is time on a skid pad, paddock or parking lot to get the feel.
The rest comes with time in the seat.

The sidecar school will be held on June 1 2012 at Shannonville. Info here http://www.vrra.ca/?page_id=389 or we'll have the school entry forms at the Dec. 9,10,11 bike show.
The trouble with trouble is that it starts out as fun.
