This was by far the most intense Executive Election that I as Returning Officer have ever participated in.
We had two Nominees for each of the four Executive positions being contested .Every Nominee submitted a summary of their platform in our Baffled Muffler and expanded on it in our Bulletin Board and VRRA Facebook.
They all opened themselves to us and tried to show us that they had the desire ,skill ,and experience to lead our club forward and were willing to make that commitment to you, the VRRA members, for the next two years.
For the last two weeks the power to decide who would form our Executive team shifted to you. Your votes ,your voice were the only factor that in the end determined our leadership team. The greater the number of members that voted ,the louder your voice became to tell us the direction that the majority of our members wished to see our club move for the next two years.
In all the years that I have raced and worked with the VRRA I can not remember four Executive positions determined in a contested Election in the same year.
Thank you to all eight of our Nominees that stepped forward this year to make that commitment and sacrifice to serve your fellow members.
In the many years that I have been Returning Officer this is one of the very few times that I have had the pleasure to say that the majority of our members made it important to vote.
My calculations show that 60.8% of our 2024 members voted in this election.
I have posted the results of the voting in the Bulletin Board.
I have it set up to show the percentage of of votes for each Nominee in each Executive position.

Thank you to every member of the VRRA that made this Executive election important .

Hi Janice,
I am so pleased to see such a strong and immediate interest ,however we are on rural phone line internet.
Think even slower than the cable speed commercial.
It's coming but don't hold your breath.
Thanks
Doug
