In Memoriam - Malcolm Lake
Posted: Fri May 10, 2024 7:19 am
It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of Malcolm Lake, yesterday in his hometown of Saint Thomas.
Malcolm was a fixture of the club, as a sprint racer on his EX500 in P4F3, and later along side of his wife Jan on their XS650-powered sidecar, on which they were crowned club champions.
Malcolm formed aptly-named "Rumball Racing", our Endurance Team, which seemed to always snatch failure from the jaws of victory. I am embarrassed to tell how many times we ran out of gas.
Malcolm was an avid supporter of the club, volunteering at most events that he attended, and he and Jan were editors of The Baffled Muffler for many years.
Although not as active in the club in recent years as he once was, Malcolm's presence will be sorely missed.
