So I think we are good now. Last year was so easy, seems like MyLaps is having issues in 2025. Maybe Garmin can fix it. I'll go through and just check the lap records now
MyLaps mixed up some of the heats and finals so we had to use Timothy's paper copies to fix it
MyLaps also flagged all the side car races at the Grand Prix as heats, and they all seem to be the same number of laps, so that was confusing. I think it’s right, but if there is a sidecar rider or passenger that could check, it would be very much appreciated.
There were also anomalies with users who didn’t have a transponder on their bike. Some were slotted into the place where they thought they came in the race but with no times which caused issues as the times have to be recalculated based on classes within a race. Some were just slotted in at the end, and I believe there were some DQ’s. This was a mess to sort out. I can’t program for all three occurrences, sometimes the diffrent scenarios are applied in the same race, so could we just pick one of these options and make it consistent. It doesn't matter which one.
As always, if you see something that you think may be an error, reach out.
Also, I’ve had several emails asking where the points in the results tables come from and how they are applied, or why someone didn't get points for a DNF. You can find the information in the in the rule book (
https://www.vrra.ca/wp-content/uploads/ ... nal-v2.pdf) in section 9a., but basically…
“
Points are awarded to current VRRA members only. If there are non-VRRA members in the results, points will not be awarded for those positions.
