Final Seasons results

Postby Brian Stevenson » Mon Sep 16, 2024 8:11 am

I was hoping to have this posted today but when I ran the application against the data that was collected over the weekend it failed.

There is just some weird stuff in Mylaps (e.g. duplicate numbers in the same class) and I'll have to compare it manually with Timothy's paper copies. Just want to make sure it right.

Stay tuned

There were some oddities and glitches . Heat 12 P5F2 / P4F1 shows me in first in P5F1. I believe I should be 4th between Rick Edwards and Colin Fearn for the P5F2 class.

Thanks John.

Yes, there was quite a few from this round. People also changed numbers - and even names - during the year or entered wrong class so I think that's all resolved as well. Many thanks to Timothy for all the help

There were also issues where people who were in heats or finals with multiple classes lost a lap even though they finished on the same lap as their class winner. Its just the leader in the faster class happened to lap them so they got a short race. There is nothing (easy) I can do to fix that but their position and points in their class are correct. The software kept identifying that as DNF - which i guess technically it is - so I just had to remove that check.

Have a look. We are 99.99% sure its right but if you do notice an issue reach out to vrraweb at gmail dot com. We'll get it fixed. I would pay special attention to the sidecars as the software was never designed to handle 2 qualifying heats and 2 finals for the same event.

I also added in P2 Featherweight. I know its not an official class but it was easy to put in. I can remove it if you don't feel it should be there

Thanks for compiling and posting these Brian.
The trouble with trouble is that it starts out as fun.

Numbers in P2 Heavy are off. I should have finished 2nd overall.

Hi Mat.

I'm still coming up with 57 - DNS, 15, DNS, DNS, DNS, 13, 12, 17

Could you do me a favour and either clear the cache in your browser or use incognito mode and go back to the page. The shortcode for that table is the same as the one for the 2023 results and I'm wondering if the old table is still cached locally.

If there a good email to reach out on?

We just finished doing an audit between Mylaps Data that was downloaded through the API and the Speedhive Data that was pulled from the Speed Hive Web Site.

The difference is that sometimes adjustments done by the Tower are not reflected by the API as the API is near-time.

I think this is pretty much official now, but if you see something you don not believe is correct let us now and we will investigate.
