Re: 2017 Canadian Classic Grand Prix

I too got the stories after I spoke about the early arrivals at the Summer Classic during the rider's meeting. Some riders arrived around noon and expected to park on the side of a public road until the gates opened at 6pm. These are public roads and I would not be upset if the tracks called in the ...

Re: Exhaust update

I agree with Ashton; a lot of effort goes into keeping the schedule going but we have no control over weather or accidents, just two of the many things that can affect schedules. Have you ever spent an hour or two in the tower? If not then I doubt you can appreciate what goes on behind the scenes to...

Re: Lemans start at Shannonville

While the idea will certainly be fun to watch, I see potential problems when we file onto the track with moving rigs at different speeds, so I am not in favour.

Re: Exhaust update

Here is the current rule in Part A for comparison.

2g
All machines must conform to the noise rules in effect at each track. It is recognized that mufflers that are not consistent with the period may have to be installed to meet the noise limits.

Re: 2017 Rules

The rules Part 3 6E do not allow more than one 10l fuel can in the pits at a time, defined as the area between the pit counter (inner wall) and the track. I see no restriction against having a second fuel can behind the wall and exchanging cans during one stop.

Re: Sidecar trial rides

Gary, no problem so long as the passenger on the rig has paid for Friday practice. Rig will need to be teched and will need a Friday practice sticker. Ray, passengers all have track experience on 2 wheels and drivers will keep the speeds appropriate as done for non-racers when we had track rides at ...

Sidecar trial rides

Anyone registered for Friday practice who would like to take out a new passenger can do so during Friday sidecar practice sessions. The rider must be registered for Friday practice or the endurance race. Please have them wear a vest to indicate to other teams that they are new. This is great chance ...

Re: P2 16" tires . Who's interested?

Total lack of PR and consideration for all the captive users of 16 inch tires on the part of Dunlop. This news is the first saying that Dunlop has stopped making these tires. Up to now it has been conjecture. I have tires for this season but will need a pair for 2017. Suggest we discuss this with al...
