Re: NEWBIE RACE BIKE

I'll take some pics and post tonight. The CB450 is a P1 500, smaller class participation, early period (P1 is pre 1968). The EX500 runs in the latest period, P4 F3 pre 1990 light weight machines. Very popular class. Pros and cons to both periods. The CB has a few mods this is what I know: 4 plug cyl...

Re: NEWBIE RACE BIKE

The EX above is an excellent choice, good looking as well. Since I won't be riding this season I have a CB450 that I would rather sell than store, its not a looker but seems to run well.

It depends how involved you want to get, P4 bikes can be gas and go, P1 will need some wrenching.

Cheers Jim

Re: VRRA support class for CSBK!

- All VRRA legal P4 machinery and bump ups are eligible for the Calabogie event.

Ashton, is this an open race? The entire club can bump to P4.

Re: 1989 GSXR750

Before the carb work it pulled really well in the top end, the carb clean and re build should have fixed the mid range.

Should make a decent endurance bike.

Re: 1989 GSXR750

Don't have a lot of support parts for this Gixxer,if I had raced it there would be a lot of wrecked parts to through in. Do have clip ons, front calipers, incomplete forks, tubes are straight and a damper. Needs some fab work to attach to top triple clamp. http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e114/jkot...

Re: Questions for a sidecar project...

Not a fan of the exhibition round, time should be tight for racing. Lunch or end of day are possible times but how much interest is there from racers/owners with special rigs to attend? If you remove replica machines from the grids there is no future in vintage racing. There is plenty of latitude wi...

Re: Questions for a sidecar project...

Start posting all the info you can find on the design you intend to replicate here, others will verify or refute allowing you time for rebuttal. Tech changes in the past have been agonizingly slow, new tech coordinator and new timelines. Make it an issue and request a change. Start making your point...

Re: Summer Classic Results?

LOL, Rick will be doing his best to toss me off his rig at CTMP. I guess "monkeys" don't count as racers, hangers on?

See you at track.
