Re: Continuation of Pre 72 for endurance series

We had 1 team enter 1 race for this season. Does this justify a championship? Comments welcome. "Championship trophies will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in each championship. If the championship has more than 10 competitors the top 5 will be awarded. Competitors must win points from at le...

Re: 2017 Vintage Festival by HB Cycle

There is a difference of "1" between the race numbering of "Series Tracker Race Starting Grids" and "VRRA Vintage Festival Schedule" :? . Which numbering will the track announcer be using either on PA or FM,and the pit out people be using on their board?

Re: Endurance points system discussion

Believe it or not,I wasn't complaining, just pointing out that whatever method of deciding when an endurance race is over can cost someone a whole lap when they are not far behind. It can work the other way too.Someone about to be lapped will be saved a whole lap if the flag drops between them and who...

Re: Endurance points system discussion

its an oversight with the way the rules are currently written. I agree with you Eddy- It also has to do with the way the race ends- It should be checkered at exactly 2 hours. And only your last completed lap counts. But we end it like a sprint. So everyone completes the checkered lap. this season p...

Re: Endurance points system discussion

First round there were three teams on the lead lap at the end. That doesn't constitute a tie. Even if the same teams were to finish on the lead lap in each race it still doesn't constitute a tie. Their times are different so there is still a first, second and third etc. In the event of a mileage ti...

Re: Endurance points system discussion

Perspective is important here. I lean towards your analogy Eddy. I think Marks idea is interesting, but some more of the riders should weigh in. "The way I see it, we did not score the first goal or came out leading after the first period, we won the first game of the playoffs." eddy321 T...

Re: Endurance points system discussion

"What about cumulative race time being the tie breaker? That would still tend to favour the leading team- but only in the event of a tie for mileage. So for instance in round 1 the race time was 2:01:03.251 Second was ten seconds back at 2:01:14.024 Third was over a minute back at 2:02:15.679 s...

Re: Endurance points system discussion

Endurance racing is supposed to be about who travels farthest in the allotted time.Until we can put gps or odometers on the bikes to record actual distance or take into account partial laps behind the winner, completed laps, converted to mileage,is the best way, imho. Over 4 races,if there are any ties...

Sidecar tyres

Anyone know how progress,if any,is being made by Avon towards supplying their version of the sidecar tire
that they took over from Dunlop ? If they are available in England,or wherever, can we arrange for them to be purchased and shipped privately?
