home video sidecars

While corresponding with the Bennett brothers, I mentioned a home video of John Wilson building the rig they currently own. It also has 4 events SMP, Loudon, Shubie and Mosport on it. John and Jo, Sam Stoney, Spinny, Courts etc may be unknown to most of our present teams, so I wondered if some one h...

Sidecar team sheets

If you would like the announcer to know who is on the track, and what they are riding please send me the following and I will type the data onto team sheets which go in a folder for easy reference. A good chance to get your sponsors name (if you have any) on the loud speakers, Paul. <pmwhittaker@hot...

New P2 sidecar award

Courtesy if Dave Mascioli, this year end award is intended to encourage more teams to attend all 4 VRRA events. I would like to say I have no desire to win it but that might be the last independent decision I make. Paul.

Re: The future of Paul & Marie Whittaker

Thanks Matt, Whatever I may feel like doing with my carcass (and I hope they use any salvageable bits available) there is some one else involved here, so testing reflexes against iron railings and stone walls seems a bit way out. To each his/her own. Paul.

Re: The future of Paul & Marie Whittaker

Hi Roger, not that I have any intention of trying either the Island or an F2 at this stage, but I thought there was a 60 year old cut off limit there?

Re: The future of Paul & Marie Whittaker

'Croft' small portable filing cabinet of table height, having drop down leaves to use as table. named after the Rev. Sir Herbert Croft, who invented it. But in this case more likely: A small patch of ground adjacent to a house and used as a kitchen garden, to pasture 1-2 cows, and large enough to fe...

Re: Sidecar for sale???

When we started back in 1999 this was a Kawi 750 twin and only ran one race per year at Shubie, which was an event on the USCRA/VRRA AM-CAN series. I think he changed to the XS motor a couple of year later and then the clubs dropped the series after 4 years? It was a long haul for the owner this way...

boosting the gate

in the never ending search for spectator draw, and after listening to a newscast on competitive jousting, this could be the next "big thing". the rules have yet to be written, but 1st gear only might be in order. only flat chested females could carry the lance, since cone shaped armour wou...

Re: Chair tires

Someday (tell me when someday is Paul and Marie) we will resurrect the money pit/track friction modifier. If you don't do it this year the odds are 10 to 1 it won't happen, which may be good or bad depending on the outcome. As we age like a bottle of wine, sometimes the stopper gets lose, and the c...

SMP test day

For those of us this side of To; Shannonville test days on April 21-22 on the Fabi track make sense. I expect the SRA will be there as they were last year, perhaps an SRA member can confirm? Will use my free test day (those who renewed before year end). Paul.
