Re: 89 CB1

Thanks for the background Steve. This is a good example of forced decisions without the input of the membership that does damage to the club.Hopefully some of these loopholes have been closed. "All this for a CB1 that wouldn't be even marginally competitive in P4F3 if you snuck a supercharger on...

Re: 89 CB1

There does not have to be a protest against a non conforming bike by another member. Tec can refuse entery to any bike that does not conform. If you see bike out there that does not conform,it is your duty to point it out or everybody will follow suit & it will become a free for all.In the spiri...

Re: Need help P1200 T25 questions inside *look*

Hey Dom,The carbs are very easy to work on.The only issue is sometimes people tighten them up to much & warp the flange causing an air leak & backfire. This can be fixed by valve grinding past on a plate of glass & rub until smooth. The 28 is good the 30 better.Walridge motors sells parts ...

Re: Need help P1200 T25 questions inside *look*

Hey Dom,I think that triumph used steel tanks where bsa used fiberglass. Both used aluminum in thier all out scramblers as your pic above. If yours is a street version it will have the 7"tls brake which is better than the 350 yamaha/honda but not as good as the honda 450.The 7" would be fine...

Re: P1 200

The 70 is a B25.Last of the old style frame.(not oil in frame) These where high compression, decent motor with good bearings.Has a high pipe & steel tank, the early tanks were fiberglass, the 71 on were aluminum. It has the 69/70 bsa/triumph front end(good & fairly light) triumph 8"tls drum...

Re: P1 200

The t25 I beleive is the 71 oil in frame. The same frame as Peters B50.The frame handles well & the motor has better bearings & trans than the early models.Front wheel is to big & the front brake to small.A conical laced to an 18 would bolt right up.60/70 bonniville TLS is as good but not...
