Re: P2 motor rules

There are at least 3 Imp powered sidecars currently racing in the UK today. One came 2nd in the Classic TT this year.

Re: P2 motor rules

Being a Honda guy, I looked at this option for my P2. Yes you can modify the CB450 twin for P2, and use up to 34mm carbs. However, it will likely be 2 /1 more expensive to build than an XS from what I found out.

Re: GoldWings

OK, I'll bite....... I guess the operative phrase is 'period correct outfits of the era'. Question is what/which era, and where? Not exactly a simple question(s). As for 'blending' with AHRMA & SRA, chassis design isn't an issue per say, but engines definitely is. Both VRRA & AHRMA's cut-off...

Re: GoldWings

I'm sure there is going to be some lively debate(s) when the P3 sidecar rules proposals are published.

Re: 2014 rules

Nothing that applies to P2 Matt. From what I know only proposals re P3. I did attend the SRA AGM, and they have agreed to allow front exit P3's in their Lost Era class. So Rick now has a couple of more races available for his new bike.

Re: P1 sidecar Fairing.

Also posted this in 'general' -

Ron Brooks (613 396-2389) has the molds for the dustbin fairings, and chair fairings most of us use. I have the molds for the screen.

Re: P1 Sidecar . Brake question.

The way I read the rules a front disk is certainly allowed on a P1 sidecar. Would have to be a solid disk (no semi or full floating), and max 2 piston caliper.

Re: 2014 rules

Spoke with Jim at the AGM, and the submitted rules proposals will be published in the next Baffled Muffler.

Rick Yates wrote:That's not a grab rail..it's a fairing mount....

It's a front exit bike Rick, never seen a picture of one where that area wasn't used as a passenger handhold of some kind. Is there a plug on the fairing that goes into the end of it?

Re: P3 Sidecar

Looking good Rick. One thing though....that passenger grab handle at the front won't pass tech. Should be a closed loop, or at the vary least have a ball end.

Re: 1982 Factory Kawasaki KZ 1000 S1 EBAY

How about a Ducati 851 factory kit race bike for 20K British Pounds, seems a better deal.

Re: A new lap record?

From what Dominic posted for the results and what is listed for Mosport lap records, there just might be a new lap record! I will wait for "Official conformation" before hoisting a beer. Ewan P.S. who am I kidding, I don't need an excuse to hoist a beer.... Unfortunately what Domini...
