I'm in "purchase mode" and have not worked on the bike much. Too much time on the Net looking for the best deals on pistons, cams and gaskets...Will be installing my bellypan this weekend, so will have those pics to post soon. Cheers, Brian.
Thank you for the kind words. I'm having a ton of fun with this build. I really want to stick with racing a single, so the motivation to do it right is very high. But I'm still sticking with the "Free or in the Garbage" racing theme...         ...
The one with the Carrillo rod has been shaved a fair amount....But I'm look hard at an aftermarket ignition with no fly wheel....Space I have, since I sold my 5 Suzuki GS bikes !!!! And my XT250 !!!
Scored a self generating ignition with the balanced crank and Carrillo rod....And I'll be mounting the pan this week with some sort of quick release system for Tech....
Oh, and another friend gave me some more cases on Thursday!!!! Free or in the Garbage Racing!!!! Oh Yaaaaaaaaa...      And Luc found a guy who has a complete motor (SR500) sitting on his bench! Very lonely motor he says, have friends for his motor I says.....
Had a hell of a time with the fly wheel with the cases that I got from a friend with the Carrillo rod!!! Threads were stripped so had to get creative. Nothing worked, so in the end it was heat and a whack!!! Off she came...Cheers.
Well, my first attempt at a belly pan...Turned out OK. Free or in the Garbage racing lives on!!! Friend gave me a sheet of alloy and I mocked something up out of cardboard and then made it from the alloy...I like it1!!
