Looking for a SV650 S Front Master Cylinder

Its has to be the one of the S model with the remote reservoir, otherwise it interferes with the clip on clamp.

Re: Gas Tank Repairs

Thanks Pat. This is great information. I'll send you a PM but why not Carbon Fibre? I thought the twill would form around the seam better than the fibreglass cloth. I may end up going with the 1st gen R6 tank. If you cut out the mounting hole for the gas cap and 2 inches out of the middle and weld i...

Re: Gas Tank Repairs

Just another question. Is a plastic tank permissible? I know some Ducati's have plastic tanks and I assume they are allowed to run with them. The TZR125 tank will bolt on but its plastic. Will it pass tech? Having re read the rules it doesn't say you can't run a plastic tank. I don't suppose its any...

Re: 1983 - 1985 RZ350 tank

I would also look at a TZR125 tank which is supposed to bolt right on and its plastic so this would not happen again, or a first gen R6 tank that can be made to fit but cutting a couple of inches out of the center and welding it back together. I know they do tanks in India but that would be a bit of...

Gas Tank Repairs

My RZ 350 tank split along the seam top to bottom on the left hand side. Its pissing gas out everywhere. Will it pass tech if I just wrap all the seams in Carbon Fiber and bond it with a Phenol Novolac Epoxy (I'm hoping that Pat Cowan will chime in here). Not sure if its period correct though. There...

Re: Everyones favourite subject - Tyres

Thanks Bill. Its just easier using the Suzuki 17" rears as the only real difference is the actual width of the rim its self. The sprocket carrier, disk, caliper holder and caliper, cushions, spacers and 20mm axle are all the same. I just have to change the rear wheel depending if its SOAR or VR...

Re: Everyones favourite subject - Tyres

Hi Tim. Yes, SOAR allow 18" wheels. The problem is, as always, cost and availability. Its easier just to stick on a 180 and have a chicken strip. Later Suzuki wheels are great as all the sprocket carriers, disks and rear calipers and caliper holders just swap between rims regardless of the widt...

Everyones favourite subject - Tyres

I know this is as contentious as an oil post but…. I’m in the process of building a P3H bike for next year and have been struggling to build it within the rules + the manufacturers recommendations for Tyres and Brakes. The bike will end up being around 180Kg and per the P3H rules the maximum size wh...

Re: New 18" Rubber for Vintage Race Bikes

I actually didn't try to price them. I had been talking to them about Endurance Tires for a P3 bike and they sent those as an option as they fit on skinny rims.

I would imagine that Wayne could get them as he is a Pirelli race tire dealer and I know he can get odd stuff like the Supercorsa TD's.
