Re: Endurance Performance Index

After much discussion a 1% bonus was agreed for P3 classes. The 1% was my error as I read the current handicap for SMP for P3L (1.077) and rounded the .077 to 1.01 when in fact it is 1.10. Sorry Michael. Just to confirm as this confused the hell out of me when I was talking to Doug Andrich about it...

Re: New 18" Rubber for Vintage Race Bikes

I wonder if they just relabeled the metzlers that come out of their factory Possibly, but they do come in different sizes so you can get a proper 90/90 18 that would fit the CB350 front. I think the RR smallest front is 110/80 18. It could very well just be a branding thing as well where smaller bi...

Re: Endurance Performance Index

My $0.02 is this, and bare in mind that I actually couldn’t ride a rocking horse and I’m a sample size of one, but anyway. So if you exclude anomalies like Darrell Cooney (who would probably win on a Honda Cub) A more modern bike will give the average VRRA rider a distinct advantage, hence my initia...

Re: Looking for a 1999-2022 Yamaha R6

Sorry, Typo. Make that a 1999-2002 R6. I don't think the later ones are eligible.

Looking for a 1999-2022 Yamaha R6

My budget is not huge but looking for something that has a solid motor and is straight. I don't care what it looks like as I'm pretty handy with bondo, plastic weld and rustoleum.

Looking for a R3 Rear Master Cylinder

Looking for a rear master cylinder from a 2014-2024 Yamaha R3, R25, YZF125R or MT03. They are all the same according to the parts fiche. If not it looks like the complete assembly is available from Yamaha brand new for $58 so I can go that route as well.

If you can't beat them, join them...

Re: Board Software Replacement

I managed to get a years credit from Thomas Edwards at AWS for 750 hours of compute per month and I have discourse installed on a test t2.micro instance. I've run into a problem transferring the data from this board. I'm not a VRRA member so I do not have access to things like the members only secti...

Re: Endurance Performance Index

Dave.

This makes no sense. Are you saying that a P3L bike is doing effectively the same time as a P4-F3 bike, the only difference is 0.01%. Can you post the data that is behind this?

Looking for a SV650 S Front Master Cylinder

Its has to be the one of the S model with the remote reservoir, otherwise it interferes with the clip on clamp.

Re: Gas Tank Repairs

Thanks Pat. This is great information. I'll send you a PM but why not Carbon Fibre? I thought the twill would form around the seam better than the fibreglass cloth. I may end up going with the 1st gen R6 tank. If you cut out the mounting hole for the gas cap and 2 inches out of the middle and weld i...

Re: Gas Tank Repairs

Just another question. Is a plastic tank permissible? I know some Ducati's have plastic tanks and I assume they are allowed to run with them. The TZR125 tank will bolt on but its plastic. Will it pass tech? Having re read the rules it doesn't say you can't run a plastic tank. I don't suppose its any...

Re: 1983 - 1985 RZ350 tank

I would also look at a TZR125 tank which is supposed to bolt right on and its plastic so this would not happen again, or a first gen R6 tank that can be made to fit but cutting a couple of inches out of the center and welding it back together. I know they do tanks in India but that would be a bit of...
