Re: Endurance Performance Index

As an endurance only racer, I do not agree with the new handicaps and I especially do not agree with the attempt to railroad them through without discussion or input from racers. Although they are not "rules" the endurance performance index should be locked in for a specified period and ch...

Transport to AGM

This crusty old man with his rusty old van has lots of room to haul your whatever from Maxville area (wtf is Maxville?) to the AGM, as well as the beer you order from Red Tape Brewery. Return trip will have 1/2 of lots of room alongside Sean's SV.

Re: Gulf Fuel and GP Bikes

As of Wed. Aug.9 I can confirm that Ultramar Supreme sold in Saint Isidore Ontario has no ethanol in it because I tested it (it ain't rocket science). The Ultramar website now states: "We follow Canada's Clean Fuel Standards (Federal and Provincial regulations) and are pleased to offer our cust...

Too cheap to buy race gas

From Ultramar's website: "Do we add ethanol to our Ultramar gasoline? We follow Canada's Clean Fuel Standards (Federal and Provincial regulations) and are pleased to offer our customers lower-carbon fuel options where available. All Ultramar service stations sell 87 Octane fuel, which contains ...

Re: Carburetor Cleaning: Ultrasonic vs. Vapour Blasting

Princess Auto catalogue doesn't show a photo, but I think this is the same as what I bought at an auto parts and equipment store years ago. The PA online catalogue is a PITA but this is the item, I believe: SKU8140709 - "18oz Hopper Gravity Feed Abrasive Spot Blaster". Using dry baking sod...

Re: Bike substitution

Is it safe to assume that the substitution can only be made in the pits if the bike to be replaced makes it back to the pits, either under its own power or being pushed by the rider alone?

Re: 2023 Calabogie 3 Hr Endurance

Davelaporte221 wrote:Hey Colin

I’m not sure if we can change the rule of 1 hr plus 2 laps but I will confirm.

For me, I would expand my team so more of my friends get to ride my bike.

Dave

Amend the rule to read: "No rider stint may exceed 1 hour plus 2 laps with minimum 1/2 hour between stints."

Re: Potential new school date on Pro

I had not registered for the original date, but I would like to register for the new one. Gotta get back on the horse after finishing the 2020 track season, such as it was, with a big asphalt kiss. Hopefully one of our super instructors can point out WTF I'm doing wrong. :)

Re: One month left!

We are 30 days from the close of pre-registration for the 2018 Quinte TT! Get your grid spots while the getting is good! Remember, the schedule is set by the pre-registrants, and does not change once pre-reg closes. Grid spots for the first race of the year are set by last year’s points first, all ...

Re: Endurance points system discussion

The points system would not eliminate the possibility of a tie. Even in this same scenario. Having an even number of rounds will mean it’s always possible. Team A 2 wins 2 second places Team B 2 wins 2 second places Provided they finish on the same number of laps at each round means a tie. In that ...

Re: Endurance points system discussion

The longer the lap times and track, the greater the penalties imposed on those who are just in front of the chequered flag. I think the points system proposed is worth trying. The chequered flag should come out when the leader crosses the finish line after the race time is up.Everyone scores their ...
