Re: Gas Tank Repairs

Hey Brian, Just saw your post. I assume you're talking about the RZ tank seam on the left hand side, towards the back of the tank, where they all seem to collect water and rust out. As far as fixing the leaks, I'd suggest as a first step, follow the Caswell instructions as regards cleaning the insid...

Re: Looking for a Source for Points

Hi, Probably the guy you are looking for is Tom Pelc, who lives in Guelph. He shows up at most of the bike events with a ton of parts and has a vast assortment of NOS points and maybe something to fit your bike. Sorry, don't have his contact info at hand, but I'll look for it and post it or pm you. ...

Carburetor Cleaning: Ultrasonic vs. Vapour Blasting

I've been using an ultrasonic cleaner with dilute Aerospace grade Simple Green to clean my carbs before rebuilding and am generally pleased with the results. However, I've seen online, carbs cleaned with vapour blasting equipment and wondered if any of you have had your carbs done, if you liked the ...

How to Identify a Honda CB350 "Fat Cam"

How do I identify whether or not I do have a CB350 Fat Cam?
Reading online, there seems to be more disinformation than information.
Let me know.
Thanks, Patrick

Re: YAMAHA TZ 125 ROADRACER

That's a pretty yummy little motorbike. A lot of non-stock but period-correct bits like the Astralite wheels (instead of stock spoked), dual disc front brakes (a single front disc was standard) and a mechanical anti-dive set up on the front forks, which was very derigueur back in the late '70's / ea...

Re: RD350 and GSXR750 for sale

For those of you who don't know these bikes, go look at them. I cannot imagine how they can be offered at such a low price. Both bikes are better than Jason's adverts suggest. Probably the absolute cheapest way to get into either class of racing on a proven ride - think the price X2 (at least) if yo...

Re: Out of period body work

Agreed that it is high time the subject was addressed, but how much grace is the Tech Committee going to allow? A 1967 (Period 1) bike I'm working on for a friend has a full fairing on it, first year of manufacture was 1969, so that would be a Period 2 part. It's similar to the '67 part, but the guy...
