Both great additions but you don't necessarily need them to start with. Maybe see how the bike feels on the track first. You may want to spend the money elsewhere. One thing I will suggest - high-quality personal gear, as in suit, helmet, boots, gloves. They are all very important for when (not if) ...

I totally agree with Colin. It's the three T's - Trackdays, Tires and more Trackdays. Best bang for your buck right there.
